A withdrawal already broadcast
Gone the moment you do it
A withdrawal starts as a request inside a market and ends as something the market no longer holds. Broadcast is where it crosses over, and support requests do not follow it across.

1.What broadcast means
Up to that point, a withdrawal is a line in an operator's system, which is a comfortable place to be, because a line in a system can be edited by whoever runs it. Broadcast makes it something else.
After that, the people you can write to hold nothing of yours. They can tell you what they sent and where. They cannot fetch it, because fetching means reaching into a system nobody at the market operates. Escrow released before the parcel arrived is the internal version of the same hand-off.
- Window opens
- While the withdrawal is still queued inside the platform.
- Window closes
- At broadcast.
- What closes it
- The transaction leaving the operator's control.
- Still possible after
- Confirm the destination, keep the reference, fix how you check addresses.
2.Unconfirmed is not undecided
The expensive misreading here is that an unconfirmed transaction is provisional. Unconfirmed describes how deeply it is buried, not whether it happened. Waiting for confirmations is waiting for certainty about something already true.
Some interfaces show a cancel option beside a queued withdrawal, which makes matters worse, because the option genuinely exists right up until it does not. A withdrawal you have not taken covers the state before this one, where every choice is still available.
| What people ask for | What is actually being asked |
|---|---|
| Cancel the transaction | Undo something the operator no longer holds |
| Reverse it, it is unconfirmed | Rewrite a record that was never theirs to rewrite |
| Ask them to send it back | Request a favour from a stranger |
| Resend it to the right address | Make a second payment out of your own funds |
3.Why the destination owner owes you nothing
People write polite messages to services and individuals asking for a return, and occasionally one arrives. Those cases get repeated because they are unusual. The ordinary outcome is silence, and silence costs the other party nothing.
Ask once, with the reference and the amount, and expect nothing. What people are sure they can undo includes this exact request, made in this exact tone.
4.The requests that go nowhere
- That an unconfirmed transaction can be cancelled on request. Nobody at the market can act on it and nobody outside takes requests.
- That the operator can pull it back because it started with them. Where it started has nothing to do with who controls it now.
- That a wrong destination is a mistake somebody will fix. What is visible from outside is money arriving.
- That support is refusing out of policy. There is no policy to relax. The thing being asked for does not exist.
5.What is still worth recording
- The transaction reference, the destination and the amount, kept where you will find them again.
- Where the destination came from. A message, a page or a clipboard, because that is the part of the story that repeats.
- What you checked before confirming, honestly. Most people find the answer is nothing, which is useful to know about yourself.
Checking only the first and last characters is the commonest half-measure there is, and swapping software knows it.
Compare more than the ends, and compare against the source rather than your memory.
6.Where the checking belonged
In the seconds before confirming, while the destination was still text on a screen. That takes less effort than the messages you will otherwise write afterwards. The related habit is not leaving addresses lying around where something can replace them, which an address still sitting in the clipboard covers.
Questions people send in
It has zero confirmations. Is there really nothing to do?
Nothing involving recall. Zero confirmations means the network has it and has not buried it yet, and neither state is one you can withdraw from.
Can the market resend it if it went to the wrong place?
They can send new funds if you pay for them, which is not a resend. The original amount is spent, and correspondence does not move it.
