1.A window is a boundary, not a length

This site does not publish durations for Osiris market windows, and you should be suspicious of any site that does. The market sets them, they differ between orders and vendors, and they change without announcement. The only figure that means anything is the one displayed on your own order.

What can be described honestly is the shape. Which event opens the window, which event shuts it, whether anybody can extend it, and what you lose by reaching the far edge. That is a boundary, and boundaries hold their shape even when the numbers move.

3.Drift is the failure mode here

Nobody loses one of these windows by acting too slowly on purpose. They lose it by deciding to look tomorrow, four times. The pages in this section are written around that, so each one includes the specific moment at which not looking becomes the decision.

The second failure is subtler. A window is a single move in most cases, and spending it on the wrong move closes it just as firmly as letting it lapse. A dispute filed before it could be won is the clearest example, and it is the reason this section exists as something separate from the minutes group.

Open is not the same as available

A window that is technically still open can already be unwinnable. If the evidence you would need no longer exists, the deadline is irrelevant. Several pages here point at the same conclusion: check what you can actually show before you check how long you have.

4.What shuts them
